Plan 3–4 days for Prague alone. With 5–7 days, you can add Český Krumlov, Kutná Hora, Karlovy Vary, or another smaller city without making the trip feel rushed.

April through June and September through October offer pleasant weather and fewer crowds. Summer is lively but busy, while December is popular for Christmas markets.

Cards are widely accepted, particularly in Prague. Keep some Czech koruna for small cafés, markets, public restrooms, and businesses outside major tourist areas.

Prague has excellent trams, metro trains, and buses. Trains and buses connect Prague with other cities and popular day-trip destinations, so a rental car is rarely necessary.

Bring comfortable shoes for cobblestone streets, layers, and a compact rain jacket. Pack a warm coat, gloves, and weather-resistant footwear for a winter trip.
