Hi! I’m Karen.Travel blogger, photographer, and full-time accountant helping 9-to-5ers plan PTO-friendly trips that feel worth the time and money.
A little about me
I’m a travel blogger and photographer based near New York City, but Monday through Friday, you’ll usually find me working my full-time job as an accountant.
I’ve been passionate about photography for more than 15 years, and travel has given me an endless supply of places, people, and moments to capture. So far, I’ve traveled to 27 countries and 23 U.S. states, fitting my adventures around a limited number of vacation days.
I understand what it’s like to dream about seeing the world while also having a job, a budget, and a limited amount of PTO.
Big adventures, limited PTO, and a plan to make it work
I created Karen From Earth for fellow 9-to-5ers who want to experience more of the world without putting their lives on hold.
My goal is to help you plan trips that are realistic, well organized, and genuinely worth your time and money. I share the details I would want when planning my own travels, from how many vacation days a trip requires to what it may actually cost.
Travel, photography, and an accountant's brain
My three favorite things are travel, photography, and personal finance. Naturally, I found a way to bring all three together.
My love of travel inspires the destinations. My photography helps me share what each place truly feels like. And my accountant brain makes sure the plans, schedules, and budgets are grounded in reality.
Karen From Earth is where those interests meet and where I share what I’ve learned to help you create trips that truly feel worth it.
